Dear Members! I have a question. I am using the UART of F149 with the PC Serial Port. I have faced a strange phenomenon. When i put the JTAG Emulator on its 14-pin header (Even when the debugger is not ON), the PC Serial Port starts receiving data. And, if i put off the JTAG Emulator from the 14 pin header, it stops receiving data. Note that, in both cases F149 continuously emits data, and the MAX3221 IC also converts the levels.
But, there is one difference. While PC serial port receiving data (When JTAG Emulator is put on the header pins), the PC serial port levels out of the MAX IC are 11.6V pk-pk.

While when PC Serial port is not receiving data (When JTAG Emulator is put off the header pins), the output MAX232 IC levels are 12.4V pk-pk. What could be the possible problem?? What are the capacitors that should be used with the MAX3221ECAE.??
Thanx Khubaib. Stargate Universe Serial Online Gratis Subtitrat. My guess is that when you plug in the JTAG emulator header you power up the micro and it starts transmitting data.
The voltage level difference is because of loading of the data lines by PC. -Sumukh --- Khubaib wrote: >Dear Members! >I have a question. I am using the UART of F149 with >the PC Serial >Port.

Actually, i have confirmed that the micro is running in both cases, sending data out of its TX pin. Also, micro is recieving data correctly in both cases (one when Emulator is put on, and the other when it is put off).
Just there is problem with micro transmission (thus, PC reception), when the Emulator is put off. Even in this case, micro is sending out data.
