Sap Serial Number Status Esto
'Dear All MM Specialist, I'm having a problem when performing Stock Transfer Order (STO) using Serial Number. I created a STO (UB type) for material XYZ to be transfered from plant 0001 to plant 0002. Created the Good Issue (Mvm type 351) with reference to the UB document to move the stock from plant 0001 to Plant 0002. The material transfered is serial number managed. Motorola Vip1216 Hacking. Once the stock are physically received by plant 0002, a GR is created using movement type 101 with reference to the UB Document.
During the creation of the GR we sellect the serial number to be received. When saving the GR the following error occurs 'Serial number XXXXXX cannot be used here' 'User Status ESTO is active (EQU ######)'. Any help would be appreciated. The serial numbers were not included in the delivery of the issuing plant. Try going back to the delivery in the from plant and see if it will let you add the serial numbers there; this should change the status of the SN to allow it to be received.maybe! Regards, Kathy L.

User status are as the name implies status defined by the users. They usually are used to control movement of an order or some process. As the step is completed the user checks off that they have done their work and the status is changed. I do know that the status ESTO is a standard status and means 'in the warehouse'. Do a search in SAP Help for User Status to help you understand how user status's are used. It sounds like someone in your company, possibly the supplying plant, and they haven't checked it off when they shipped the material.
Hope this helps Dennis Phelan, CPIM MM/PM Business Analyst Blount International Inc. 503-653-4506 Mail to:dennis.phelan@blount.com ________________________________ From: bigkahula_qc via sap-log-mm [mailto:sap-log-mm@Groups.ITtoolbox.com] Sent: Thursday, April 23, 2009 1:45 PM To: Dennis Phelan Subject: [sap-log-mm] Stock Transfer Order (STO) using Serial Number Problem Dear All MM Specialist, I'm having a problem when performing Stock Transfer Order (STO) using Serial Number.
